Natuurgebied De Leemkuilen

This nature preserve is about 80 hectares big and is located South-East of Udenhout. These clay pits came into existence after digging for clay in the area to use for the brick-making industry. Ever since they stopped digging for clay this area has become a water and swamp preserve.

This nature preserve has many varieties of plants and animals, think about the tree frog and the crested newt. Alder en Willow trees stand proudly on the former dikes overlooking the nature preserve. You can also find various herbs and small plants in and near the water.

Hint: You can find a bird screen in this nature preserve. With this screen you can watch birds, endlessly.
