At the heart of Brabant at the border of the Loonse en Drunense Duinen, lies Beukenhof. A group accommodation in an old monastary and a beautiful place to spend the night.
Because of the ideal location of the monastary Beukenhof is the ultimate location for vacations, parties and other events. This accommodation has been completely revamped and has different compartments allowing Beukenhof to accommodate groups as large as 250 people. The lush garden is a true oasis of peace and calm. Enjoy a quiet, spacious and hospitable stay at Beukenhof in Brabant.
The former monastary was built between 1919 and 1920. It was built in the shape of an eight so that the monastary profited from two courtyards. One was used as a recreational courtyard and the other was used as a burial ground for monks. Because of the monks' presence in Biezenmortel a university of philosophy and theology opened in 1921.
The monastary was sold to the Franciscan Sisters of Etten-Leur which gave Beukenhof its current name. The monastary was sold again in 1994 when the Sisters moved back to Etten-Leur. Till this day the name given by the Franciscan Sisters stays, although the monastary is no longer a monastary but a groupaccommodation.
