Viewing modern art in a former woolenmill is possible in museum De Pont. The old factory with its large, bright hall and recessed 'wool storage rooms' is a great environment for many works of art. The museum exhibits modern visual art from the Netherlands and abroad. As well as a permanent display of art from its own collection, there are three large temporary exhibits and several smaller ones each year. Museum De Pont is well known among connoisseurs of modern art.
Every Sunday at 15:00 there are free tours of De Pont (not in July and August). You don't need to book in advance, you can sign up for the tour when you arrive at the museum. Tours for children aged 6 to 12 years old are organised at 13:00 and 13:30 (max. 10 children). Reservations for those tours can only be made over a phone call.
Every fourth Sunday of the month, De Pont organises a free concert for museum visitors.
